Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading Program for 2014

Robot, Boy, Girl, Mad Scientist

This summer Vermonters are invited to participate in a reading program that celebrates science. The slogan for children is: "Fizz! Boom! Read!”; the one for teens is "Spark a Reaction,” and the one for adults is “Literary Elements.”

The Vermont Department of Libraries is a member of the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP), a consortium of states and the District of Columbia working together to provide high-quality summer reading program materials to children and teens at the lowest cost possible. The summer manual prepared by CSLP contains ideas for programs, promotions, decorations and bibliographies for many related topics for all ages.

Check out the links below for more information and materials to help you make this a summer of reading and exploration all across Vermont!
