VT Dept. of Libraries Consultant Receives Award from the VT Library Association

Michael Roche, the Northeast Regional Library Consultant for the Dept, of Libraries, received the Sarah C. Hagar Award from the VT Library Association.

The award is given annually at the Vt Library Conference to recognize outstanding service in or significant contribution to the field of librarianship in Vermont, and is named for the first president of VLA and librarian of Burlington's Fletcher Free Library for 23 years.

The VT Library Association also honored Amy Grasmick with the Green Mountain Library Award. Amy is the Director of the Kimball Public Library in Randolph and was recognized for her work to improve the salaries of librarians and library staff in Vermont libraries and her extraordinary efforts to uphold the ALA Code of Ethics.

The Library  Association Trustee of the Year Award was given to Tina F. Rotella who is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Rultand Free Library. This award is given to recognize outstanding achievement by a trustee on behalf of his or her library.
