Two staff members from the Department of Libraries, Grace Greene and Amy Howlett, were honored at the Vermont Library Conference on May 12. 

Grace Greene was presented with the Vermont School Librarians Association Award, recognizing “an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to school libraries and the library community in Vermont, and she met with a standing ovation after the gracious introduction by her husband Dan. 

Later that afternoon at the Advocacy Reception, Amy Howlett received an award from Vermont 2-1-1 in recognition of her long service on their Board, and her accomplishments establishing the Vermont 211 system. Amy has contributed to the development of the the statewide service since the beginning of its planning stages in 1999.
