Vermont Libraries Mark Banned Books Week
This week marks the 30th anniversary of Banned Books Week and the Vermont Library Association has produced a video highlighting the ongoing commitment of Vermont libraries to support intellectual freedom and the freedom to read. View the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGWTCYc1p50
To honor this week, plan to attend the Vermont ACLU’s “Evening Without” to hear Vermont writers reading from banned works. The event will take place on October 4 at 7 p.m. in Montpelier. For details, go to: http://www.acluvt.org/news/evening_without.php
