How to Participate in the Vermont Automated Library System (VALS)

The Vermont Automated Libraries System (VALS) serves as one of the primary access point for state information and supports the systems that facilitate a statewide resource sharing network. Libraries that participate in VALS have access to the automated systems maintained by the VT Dept. of Libraries that support the finding and requesting of materials through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

VT libraries wishing to participate in VALS, should submit a request to the VALS system administrator, Sheila Kearns.  This request may be made in writing to the address below, or by email to:

Participating libraries are required to sign the VALS Access Agreement and to abide by the Guidelines for the Use of VALS
