Dear Library Community,

We are continually updating our COVID-19 webpage. Here are a few highlights from VTLIB and the State:

  • Thanks for continuing to submit your closures using our online form. The form, as well as the list of closures can be found on that page. We will update the list in regular intervals.
  • We’ve added a small collection of VT Public Library Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) examples. Please continue to share yours if you are able.
  • We’ve added a few new printable resources (e.g. a social distancing poster)
  • You’ll find the Governor’s official Declaration of State of Emergency on this page as well. The declaration contains useful information about nursing homes, telework, unemployment, etc. We’ve had questions about where to send folks to file for unemployment with many libraries closed. For the time being, local Vermont Department of Labor offices remain open and can help.

The Vermont School Library Association (VSLA) has assembled “Learning at Home: Resources for Teachers” – please share.

We also thought the New England Library Association’s (NELA) statement on public library closures is worth sharing.

Please let us know if you have questions.
Wishing you all the best,
Janette
