2020 Teen Lit Mob!

Dear Teen Readers, Librarians, & Educators,

This spring, join us for Vermont’s only teen literary festival, Teen Lit Mob! Teen Lit Mob will celebrate teen readers, YA lit, and its fandom on Friday, March 27th, from 9am-2pm at U-32 High School in East Montpelier. Teen Lit Mob is FREE for all teens attending and lunch will be provided.

This year’s program includes: Keynote by Ibi Zoboi, author of Pride and American Street; Endnote by Justina Ireland, author of Dread Nation and Deathless Divide (due out on 2/4/20!); and a host of Vermont authors -- An Na, author of A Step from Heaven and Wait for Me; Jo Knowles, author of Jumping off Swings and Read Between the Lines; Dan Nott, comic book creator of This is What Democracy Looks Like; and Chris Tebbetts, author of Me, Myself, & Him and co-author of M or F?

Here’s what teens can look forward to at Teen Lit Mob:

  • Connect and geek out with other teen readers!
  • Attend author presentations & workshops throughout the day!
  • Immortalize your favorite (or soon-to-be-favorite) book(s) with author signatures!
  • Take home free books!
  • Vote for your favorite Green Mountain Book Award titles!

The goals of Teen Lit Mob are to:

  • Connect teen readers to authors and illustrators and each other
  • Celebrate diverse authors and stories
  • Promote the Green Mountain Book Award, Vermont's teen-choice book award
  • Cultivate an annual conference that celebrates YA literature in Vermont

Don’t miss out! Register to attend now. Whether you’re coming as an individual or bringing a larger group, use this quick & easy form to reserve your spot: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfFS461ynmDXR3gLcQl2HGf7Tkzmof7NlqpusHi6t-FADKK5Q/viewform?usp=sf_link

All registrations must be completed by Friday, March 13th. Books will be available for purchase on site from Bear Pond Books.

We want to emphasize that this is a day for teens. While we are glad to have adults accompany them, our space is limited. We ask that you only bring a second adult if you have more than 10 students attending.
