The ALA Youth Media Awards have been announced! Crossover by Kwame Alexander won the Newbery and The Adventures of Beekle, illustrated by Dan Santat, won the Caldecott! The Printz award went to I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson. Read the full list of winners and honor books!

Vermont Public Television (VPT) and the Department of Libraries are co-sponsoring the 2015 PBS Kids Writers Contest for children in grades K-3. The contest promotes creativity and reading skills through hands-on, active learning, as kids write and illustrate original stories. Stories can be fact or fiction, prose or poetry.

Deadline is Friday, March 20, 2015.
