This course will introduce the basics of public library administration to those working or seeking to work as small & rural public library directors, mid-managers or supervisors.
Attendance at the five synchronous online meetings and completion of the homework will fulfill the core Administration requirement for the Certificate of Public Librarianship program.

Join Heather Rigney, Medical Reserve Corp State Coordinator for Vermont, for this MRC orientation geared especially for library staff. The nine regional MRC units in Vermont comprise the volunteer arm of the Vermont Department of Health, which interfaces with communities to make them more prepared for emergencies great and small. Learn more about the National MRC program and its history, how the MRC in Vermont is coordinated, the types of emergency and non-emergency missions they support, and how you can host them at your libraries. This webinar will also cover ways MRC plans to work with local libraries to promote safety education during National Preparedness Month this September.
